You've scarfed down your CKT or that laksa, and now you could do with a little something sweet. You want dessert, and you won't be happy till you've indulged your cravings.
Something's churning deep in the Penang Island heartland that's making local residents scream for the desserts and gelato has been serving dependably excellent desserts for over a few years.

The Craftisan also extended its menu recently to include a section explicitly named 'Plated Desserts' It's kinda to introduce fine-ding techniques, flavors and presentation to their diners in this way.

The melt in your mouth matcha ice-cream with delicious crepe. The uniqueness of this dessert is the matcha jelly with azuki bean. Basically, The Craftisan is solely focused on desserts and coffee so all of these are bought together in a delicate paste palette that embodies what the dessert is.

Mango Pomelo
The dessert is presented with a generous serving of fresh mango, sago, and pomelo together with small pieces of crushed ice. The result was a bowl of refreshing, creamy and sweet with all the components coming together beautifully. Most important is, mango is sweet and fresh (not those frozen kinds) Perfect heat quencher for our hot and humic climate :)

Savory Charcoal sandwich.
The bread here is baked freshly and send to The Craftisan. Serve the sandwiches with all the goodness in it. It's pretty yummy; the avocado & omelette is decadently thick and it's lightly crispy to the bite and soft and pillowy inside. Good enough to eat plain actually!

If you are obsessive chocolate desire (OCD) for the love of both chocolates and gelato, *jiang jiang jiang jiang* Chocolate obsession is the one you must eat! Soft yet crisp on the surface, the fudge cake had a very dense centre. It certainly reminded us of a brownie, only more sticky. You should get this limited item if you're sharing, because I found it slightly cloying after awhile.

Delicias de serradura is also popular as Macau pudding is made with crumbly tea cookies and chilled layered cream. The Serradura resembles layered sawdust and can be perfectly salvaged to come together. The combination of sweet and crunchy is pretty good. My first time trying this and it was satisfying.

Who doesn't love ice cream? The ice cream had a relatively sticky texture, to my delight. Its stickiness made it a little chewy, which is personally liked and reminiscent of a gelato~ The sweet and bitter flavors were in perfect balance.

With an affordable price range, The Craftisan is definately going on my list of places to chill out. Their coffee and gelato items are of premium quality, so it's definately a dessert lover's paradise.
