Have you guys ever plan to go where when Valentines or Chinese New Year? What to do on Valentines day? Whether you're single or all bae'd up, making plans on Valentine's Day is total pain in ass. But for couples, plan the perfect date with these cheap weekend breaks, spa days and romantic meal offers @ Kota Dine and Cafe.

Visited this restaurant that invited by Jane. It's a very unique restaurant that actually located at Fort Cornwallis Georgetown Penang. They actually serve Malaysian Fusion Cuisine. The food presentation and concept are exactly rendered Malaysian's culture. I would say such a nice hidden gem inside Fort Cornwallis. The restaurant has put up its attained HALAL certification from the Halal Certification Panel of Islamic Development Malaysia. With this, diner can savor the food prepared in accordance with the requirements set by the Malaysian Halal Standard and their chefs attained the Penang International Halal Chef Award.

And This cafe have been listed as a 1# of the top 22 most instagrammable cafe in Penang.

Oh and by the way, when visit and you need to pay RM10 as entrance fee but can be offset in the total bill. So after you paid the fee you just go up in front and the cafe is just down the right side. I been greeted warmly from the staff. There had a lots of natural lighting so i can take a beautiful  picture. The dining ares are comfortable and cozy.

They do launched their Valentine's and CNY menu.  From appetizer to dessert, It's colorful and tantalizing for eyes. Limited choices of food, mainly nyonya cuisine. Nice place to relax tho with jazz background music. I really would like to recommend as a date restaurant or for a special occasion if neither of you like food or love presentation.

VALENTINE'S DAY  RM188/per couple

Peach Tea or Ice Lemon Tea

At first, it comes with a start - Amuse Bouche
Amuse-bouches are different from appetizers in that they are not ordered from a menu by patrons but are served gratis and according to the chef's selection alone. *And yess! This included in both CNY and Valentines menu. It's a small appetizer meant to tease the palate before the meal.

Appetizer - Barramundi Salad
Lemon Grass | Salad Green | Nyonya Aioli
Grew up till now i never try eating fish cooked this way and the accompanying salad but tbh this is nice when dip with nyonya aioli sauce.
ps The Barramundi and salad are high recommended. But to be honest this recipe for barramundi might just be one of my favourite one yet.

Main Course  - Grilled Menthi Chicken
Summer Green | Tumeric | Rempah Soil
I had this special dishes and you guys should try this! Marinated with tumeric spice mixture topped with sauce is best enjoyed with. You can taste every local flavour in a single course.

Dessert - Chocolate Lava
Mix Berry | Chocolate Soil | Vanilla Ice-cream
I'm impressed with the food presentation as well very artsy.

'When Francis meet me then only meet Rempah'

Chinese New Year Menu RM69/per person
Only available on 15 16 17th Feb 2018

Also starter - Amuse Bouche

Appetizer - Prospetity Toss

As we say in mandarin called Yee Sang. It contains cured salmon, carrot, Radish, Young Mango and their signature kota dressing. Usher in the CNY with this colourful yee sang. It is a fun and tasty salad and also one of the dishes that each ingredient that i added has a corresponding phrase.

Mui Choy Chicken Roulade
Chee Cheong Fun | Sweet Turnip | Sambal
Chicken Roulade was soft, juicy and can taste the delicious flavours. Portion was just nice! This was one of my favourite chicken dishes i've ever tasted. The delicious silky sooth chee cheong fun paired with the sauces of Sambal that accompanied it was heavenly. It literally melted with the sweet turnip inside.

Main Course - Barramundi

Pumpkin | Black Rice | Jelly Fish | Achar
Enjoy pumpkin like never before in this black rice! This is nice, sweet and sour delicate and spicy with jelly fish.
The Barramundi and Achar were really tasty, must take it with the black rice. The achar nice to go with your rice. Something like a kind of fish and achar with a special rice on the side.
And last but not least. they served dessert too! Ondeh Ondeh Cake.

Overall, this place has a great ambience to relax and have my solo time. A big plus that it is a halal-certified place, that is very convinient  for all muslims visiting Georgetown. Thumbs up!

Make your reservation now to avoid dissapointed!
