The huge menu includes a long list of Cantonese favorite where dishes like Lettuce cooked with Oyster sauce, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Siew Mai Dumpling, Crystal Shrimp Dumpling make all diners satisfied. With the price of RM48 nett, what we have at Dim Sum by the sea is more wallet-friendly than at some others of the same category. You will agree soon when you look at their menu! :)
And the best things is... It's RM48 per set. Given the quality of food, the classy ambiance and the faultless services, i'd say this is quite a steal.
水饺全蛋面 Wholesome Egg Wan Tan Mee
One of the best value as well if you intend to get your money's worth. This restaurant had put in the extra effort to have some prawns in the dumpling so their dumplings are the bomb! Jumbo shrimp dumpling are large and full of flavor. With the fresh juicy prawn dumpling served, they were one of the best around.
Crystal Shrimp Dumpling.
Expect super fine dim sum creations with a fancy touch like steamed Crystal Shrimp Dumpling. It's a gem for dumpling lovers. Tying in fresh seasonal ingredients and new bold flavors, the dim sum will never disappoint.
Siew Mai Dumpling
Steamed Siew Mai Dumpling with Fish Roe. The size of this is bigger that what's usually served in Chinese coffee shop. The skin was soft and firm and did not break when lifted with chopsticks. The meat inside was mixed perfectly, real not frozen and Fish Roe was a nice touch.
Salad Shrimp Roll
Those who love fried dim sum or prawns should try this wonderful shrimp roll! This is simple unique where the shrimp roll brings you with the crispy sensation at the outer layer and inside brings you with the flavourful taste.
Crystal Dumpling in Sichuan Style.
One thing you will love specially in the steamed dim sum is the freshness of the items especially the prawns. Certainly makes you wanting more of that juicy succulent prawns. Amazingly good.
For the Egg custard bun, the signature flaky crust and smooth fragrant egg tart filling couldn't get any better.
Roasted BBQ Pork Bun
The roasted BBQ Pork Bun is nice, I like the balance between soft fluffy white bun and sweet-savory filling. As simple as it looks, this is one of the favorite dishes here.
Boat Porridge 'Ting Zai'
Craving something hot and fulfilling? Have a bowl of congee to warm up your stomach. Cooked for hours until it reaches a creamy consistency. The texture was more watery than what I was familiar with, but there was still that pleasurable smoothness and thickness in terms of consistency. Worth its money for all the ingredients that went into that bowl.
Lettuce cooked with Oyster Sauce.
Another nice vegetable dish would be the Lettuce cooked with Oyster Sauce. It's simple yet delicious. The chef again did a great job in maintaining the freshly crunch on the vegetables and add in a new dimension to the flavor of the oyster sauce.
