I've been looking for Nice, Cheap and Big western food in Penang. For Hokkien is called Ban Yi Gu Duo Dei. If you know what i mean lol. Is actually said as Cheap yet Lip-Smacking. Nevertheless, life goes on and we still need to enjoy and pamper ourselves with good food once in a while right. When it comes to Western Food, it is often associated with high prices. However, this is not always the case, so i'm going to blog for value-for-money Western Food ( The Little Chef ) that will not burn a hole in your wallet.
The Little Chef is newly opened restaurant at Arena Curve, Bayan Lepas and served aasian fusion dishes at an affordable price. Thanks to The Little Chef for invite us on 19 April 2018.

Aglio Olio Prawn RM14.80

 Peach Tea RM3.80 | Honeydew Juice RM5.80 | Watermelon Juice RM5.80

 Braised Lamb Shank RM32.80
The braised lamb shank was complemented by a black pepper sauce, served on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes and sides of vegetables. For me, the second winning dish is definitely the lamb shank, which comes in a big portion and takes a while to serve. Not only was the lamb shank soft and tender, but it was packed with flavour as well. Thus, it was light, aromatic and absolutely delicious, I guess the lamb shank can be shared by 2 but for those who eat a lot, It all yours!

Pork rib of the day RM24.80
Who doesn't love a plate of good old fashion ribs? Or perhaps even some with a new twist? But the matter of fact, I love them all! Juicy, succulent and bursting with flavour are only some adjectives that describe how incredibly amazing a good plate of ribs are. The Little Chef served tender, juicy and flavourful ribs alongside freshly made coleslaw, frozen vegetables, Baked Beans and rice. It truly nice and it's low-cooked and then basted in mouthwatering sweet and sour sauce. It is indeed perfection in every bite. Affordable and absolutely delicious.

Aglio Olio Prawn RM14.80
The Little Chef take on this Aglio Olio Spaghetti truly is quite amazing. Staying true to the name of the dish, Aglio Olio, the blend of spices worked really well together to create a soothing yet aromatic scent that will make almost everyone salivate. The richness, spiciness and depth of flavour of the pasta are commendable. Beside that, the prawns are fresh and plump, not to mention sweet as well. If you are looking for a prawn pasta, this is definitely it.

Starter Homemade Mushroom Soup RM5.80
The Little Chef's mushroom soup it is a little lighter in comparision, not as thick, but still ever so flavourful. The starter is so delicious and definitely worth the try if you're fan of mushroom soup

Creamy salted egg Sauce Batter Fish and Chips RM15.80
If you are obsessed with salted egg yolk, do not miss this! You may think that Fish and Chips can only be done in certain tradition way of a deeply battered fried fish fillet and french fries. NOOOO
The Little Chef served the Fish and Chips with Salted Egg Sauce. And it is wonderful.
Firstly, the fish they use are fresh and homemade. The cod is fried and it comes out with a delightful fried fish that is wonderfully light, not so oily yet crunchy to the bite while the fish inside stays soft and tender. I especially like the salted egg york sauce which is thick and very flavorful.
Other than Salted Egg Yolk Sauce, you could also choose Tar-tar sauce, spicy thai sauce, lemon butter sauce or mango kerabu sauce.

Indiana Chicken  RM13.80
This is crusty, crispy and packed with an Unique Secret herbs and spices. The chicken is done really juicy, tenderly and moist. Served with refreshing coleslaw and a side of salad. If you so happen pass by the area, it is not an experience you'll regret having
