Penang has lots of awesome western food, however for Richard's Top Taste Cafe, it is fusion food the reason why everyone keep returning for it. It is very popular for the locals as well. Richard's Top Taste Cafe were rather hidden in somewhere there pretty hard to find, the area is pretty silence at night and not much people around but with the help of GPS it is easy to find. I was actually quite taken by the decor. One of the most delightful this here is plenty of seating in the indoor and vintage decor really went well with the whole vibe of the place. You have a lot of choice of seating ~ This has an '' All people are welcome '' vibe as Richard's Top Taste Cafe having a Halal Certificate.
Looking at the menu, we were actually having a bit hard of time deciding what we wanted to have LOL especially since if this was the first time we were visiting, it seemed like almost everything on the menu was something we really wanted to try.
So the star of this dish is a lamb shank that has been sous-vide and then seared for good measure. We have absolutely fallen in love with sous-vide cooking because so far it yielded some really tasty and tender food especially when it comes to meat. The lamb juice was superb that different from others.
This Chicken Gordon Bleu is another highly recommended dish here. It was very crispy outside and went well with the sauce that was not too heavy. You can see that the breaded chicken breast is stuffed with chicken ham, filament stick, cheese, mushroom, mini corn and a side of salad.
Salmon Salad is as good as it looks, the salmon is fresh and put on top of mixed greens with a good balance of taste.

The oxtail is very juicy and tender and this has very very very tasty soup, with soft meat that falls off the bone. If you are looking for rich, dense, delicious NY style cheesecake, this is the exact opposite. The homemade cheesecake was soft in the texture, very delicious. This cake will stay together when you put your fork into it.
